Overview:
The unit began with investigating the properties of water and the importance of water in our lives and the broader community. Students are studying the water cycle and constructing their own mini water cycle to learn how it operates in Nature. They are exploring green technologies and ways to reduce water consumption. Students will begin to learn about water in different parts of the world. Finally the students will be well-prepared for their major project which concerns water-related problems in a country of their choice.

Students will be learning how to communicate ideas, findings and solutions to problems using scientific language and representations using digital technologies as appropriate.
Students will understand Science and Technology contribute to finding solutions to a range of contemporary issues; these solutions may impact on other areas of society and involve ethical considerations
Students will be learning how to summarise data, from students’ own investigations and secondary sources, and use scientific understanding to identify relationships and draw conclusions.
